Turkey is a big country between Europe and Asia. Turkey is the world’s 37th-largest country in terms of area. The country is encircled by seas on three sides: the Aegean Sea to the west, the Black Sea to the north and the Mediterranean to the south. Turkey also contains the Sea of Marmara in the northwest. There are seven regions and eighty-one cities in Turkey. Turkey is bordered by eight countries: Bulgaria to the northwest; Greece to the west; Georgia to the northeast; Armenia, Iran and the Azerbaijani exclave of Nakhchivan to the east; and Iraq and Syria to the southeast.
The country’s official language is Turkish. Turkey’s population is about 75 million people. The capital is Ankara, and its largest city and seaport is Istanbul. The republic was founded in 1923, after World War I and a war of independence. Before that, Turkey was the core of the Ottoman Empire. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was the first President of Turkey. He made many changes that made Turkey more modern.
Turkey is a popular place for tourists to visit. It has hundreds of kilometers of beautiful beaches on its Aegean and Mediterraneancoasts, and many important historical places. Turkish people are very friendly and hospitable, welcoming people of many races and religions.
Turkey is one of the luckiest country that has various types of climate and four season. Mountains plateaus, deep valley, broad plain and being surrounded from three sides by sea shows the climate of Turkey. Because Turkey is between subtropical and temperate climate, different seasons can be seen on different climate zone simultaneously.

Information About Trabzon Yol-iş Sendikası Secondary School
Trabzon Yol-iş Sendikası Secondary School was founded in 2007 in the centre of Trabzon. It is a public school and consists of all types of students form different surrondings. First our school had primary, nursery and secondary parts but now it has secondary and nursery education. Today our school has approximately 1700 students from 5th to 8th grade, 120 teachers, 4 ministrators and one director. Our school has 32 classes, 2 art classes, 2 technology and design classes , 1 library, 2 science laboratories, 3 nursery classes, 3 special education classes, 1 conference hall, 3 teachers rooms and different rooms for the other workers.

Each classes have approximately 24-28 students. Classes ara equipped with smart boards and internet connection. We aim to teach students how to learn ,discover and improve their abilities; have them to goin love for Atatürk by means of adopting his reform, prepare our students confident individuals for life and higher education, teach them to respect other people’s rights. We wantt hem to improve themselves both academically and socially.
Every year we have TÜBİTAK project events - events related with science and organized in all cities of Turkey-Students also take part in music shows, exhibitions with their own works, and sports events at the end of the school year.
