It is an European exchange program in which teachers get aware of the work carried out in the different schools on the subject of security and multiculturalism.

On February 26th, students from EB1 Nº 1 in Lisbon welcomed the teachers with a presentation of typical dances from each of the partner countries: Portugal, Turkey, Poland, Greece, Cyprus and Lithuania.

After the welcome ceremonies, in EB1 Nº 1 of Lisbon, the partners visited the Kindergarten of Pena, the Library of S. Lázaro, and the AENG main school, where they were welcomed by the Orquestra Nuno Gonçalves.

On Tuesday, February 27th, the partners attended a class that aimed to consolidate safety behaviors that students should follow at home and on the street. The class was led by two police officers, of the 1st Division of the Safe School Program Team.

The class was planned for the 3rd year, class A, and it was used a multimedia presentation – Powerpoint.

At the end of the class students sang a song with music and lyrics made by the class teacher, alluding to the theme of safety.

Then teachers attended the Biological Garden class with the participation of the 4th year students.

The class was led by the technician Miguel Brito, partner of our School in the Biological Garden Project, financed by the Parish Council of Arroios. The issues related to food safety, recycling of organic waste and composting were discussed with the students. Some vegetables were collected to be consumed on the following Thursday, in the school canteen, at the teachers meal.

Our partners attended a 2nd year class on road safety regulations regarding cycling promoted by the Portuguese Cycling Federation.

Later that day the teachers attended part of a theater class, in 2nd / 3rd B classes, within the frame of the MOVEA Project - Portuguese Movement of Education by Art, financed by the Lisbon City Council.

On February 28th and March 1st, partners attended some E-Learnig sessions at the oldest public library in Lisbon, São Lázaro Library.

During these sessions, it was made a review of the work done so far carried out under the Erasmus + Project and it was planned the work to be carried out in the coming months. There were expressed some questions regarding the use of Google Drive, the Project site and Facebook. We learned how to work on Hot Potatoes, with each country creating a Crossword on security, which was later published to the project Drive. We also chose the title of Newspapper- “The Young European- Multiculturaly Safe”.

During this week there was also some leisure time, with visits to some historical sites of the city of Lisbon and its surroundings, related to the historical, architectural and cultural heritage of Portugal.

We would like to address a special thanks to our school community, that represented Portugal, Lisbon, Nuno Gonçalves Group of Schools and the school EB1 nº1 Lisbon in such a graceful way.

It was time for sharing experiences and knowledge with partners we know the friendship will remain forever: Poland; Greece; Lithuania; Turkey and Cyprus.
